During March 22-28, within the framework of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program (Project KA171-2025 – Mobility Project for Higher Education Students and Staff), representatives of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University — Professor Maria Baylyak, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and Associate Professor Lesia Polyova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Tourism for Scientific Work — visited the Academy named after Jacob of Paradyża (Akademia im. Jakuba z Paradyża) in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Republic of Poland.
The Academy of Jakub of Paradyzh in Gorzów Wielkopolski is a modern state institution of higher education that actively develops international cooperation, participates in European educational and scientific programs, and provides training for specialists in the fields of economics, engineering, humanities, and tourism. The Academy is known for its practice-oriented approach to learning, innovative infrastructure, and openness to intercultural academic exchange.
As part of the visit, the lecturers held a series of lectures for students of various courses and scientific and pedagogical staff of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the partner university, presenting modern scientific approaches, the results of their own research, and interdisciplinary practices.
Professor Maria Baylyak gave a series of lectures on microbiology with an emphasis on food microbiology, antibiotics and antibiotic resistance problems, sterilization and disinfection methods in the food industry and laboratory practice.
Associate Professor Lesya Polyova held a series of lectures on territorial marketing, cultural heritage, gastronomic diplomacy, and healthy eating issues.
Participation in the Erasmus+ program contributes to the expansion of international cooperation of the university, improving the quality of education and integration into the European educational and scientific space. Such exchange of experience opens up new opportunities for the development of educational programs, the implementation of innovative teaching methods and the strengthening of academic ties.
