Faculty Researcher Among the Winners of the Erasmus+ Competition

Researchers from Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University have won the prestigious Erasmus+ competition under the ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PEX-COVE – Centres of Vocational Excellence call with the international project “Network of Centres of Vocational Excellence in Green and Digital Chemistry.”

We are particularly proud to highlight that Dr. Liliya Midak—a researcher from our Faculty and Director of the Center for Innovative Teaching Methodologies at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University—is among the project winners. She will represent the University as a member of the international consortium and will actively contribute to the project’s implementation.

The project aims to establish a European network of Centres of Vocational Excellence specialising in green and digital chemistry, bringing together vocational and higher education, research, industry, and regional innovation ecosystems. Its core objective is to develop advanced competencies needed for sustainable development, digital transformation, and the green transition across the chemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, energy, and related sectors.

The international consortium brings together leading universities, vocational education institutions, chambers of commerce, sectoral associations, and companies from 11 European countries. The project is coordinated by the San Antonio University Foundation (Spain). Consortium partners also include PPV Knowledge Networks (Lviv, Ukraine), Universitat Jaume I (Spain), and the University of Nova Gorica (Slovenia), with whom the University has already built strong cooperation through previous international initiatives.

The project will be implemented over four years and will foster long-term European collaboration in vocational and higher education, research, and innovation. A key component will be extensive outreach activities, including public lectures, STEAM festivals, and training sessions for school teachers and university lecturers, as well as workshops focused on sustainable development.

Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University will be represented in the project by Iryna Hryhoruk, Tetiana Solodzhuk, and Liliya Midak. This success reaffirms the University’s strong expertise and its capacity to contribute to European initiatives in green transformation, digital technologies, and vocational excellence.
